INSTANT AI UPDATE 3: AI MAKES POSSIBLE A HUGE STEP FORWARD FOR ACCESSIBILITY - This week, I’ve been thinking and writing about what AI means for accessibility. Most folks don’t know that I have a rare genetic retina condition that is progressive. My condition primarily affects males only and boils down to one faulty gene (RS1). I have the typical variant, which means that my vision will weaken slowly as my retinal tissues progressively separate. But, with appropriate care and an eye-healthy lifestyle, I am unlikely to lose all vision.
